The roof of the library building is being dismantled today and the whole demolition process will take around four weeks, assuming no hidden treasure or remains of former regents is discovered.
The library was built in 1929, by the community. A new library will be part of the mixed development, due to be completed in March 2016.

You may not have been able to make the meeting on Tuesday 5th – missing custard creams and 65 other people who are interested in the future of Cricklewood Library. Also you will have missed the large scale plans of the library, so we are adding them to this site for your enjoyment.

Born and bred and broke in Brent, I doubt very much I could have become the voracious reader and professional writer that I became without the unlimited access to books I was granted by Willesden and Kensal Rise libraries as a youngster.
